Deadwood Rum
Deadwood Rum was created as a packaging concept for a limited edition bottle of rum that could be sold by Beltbuckle distillery here in Abilene, Texas. I created both the illustration and the typeface seen on the front of the bottle. I attempted to present the design with a sense of drama that one might expect from a limited edition design through both the scull illustration and using high contrast of the photography to showcase the bottle. The wooden background texture in the design hints back to deadwood’s name as well as the “burn” of the drink.
